See Through Me is a 4-part experimentation on using film slides in analog collage. The pieces are composed on reclaimed glass windows, rather than canvas or paper, thus allowing light to shine through the film and illuminate the photographs within. The windows also allow for the backsides of the works to be exposed, offering insight into the sources used and providing an opportunity for accidental compositions. In on-site installations, the surrounding landscape becomes partially framed by the pieces. See Through Me explores vulnerability, culturally altered landscapes, and our relation to the natural world. Made with solely found and recycled materials.
