For Your Eyes Only, examines the idea of the ‘American Dream’, and reflects on my experience with the emotional and physical landscapes of the American West. How can we reconcile the allure of this ‘dream’ — especially characteristic of the west, and undeniably romantic in conjunction with its vast, open landscapes and multicultural cities — with the uglier truth: that insisting on the efficacy of this dream excuses a lack of necessary reform to our systems & societies, and acts as a veil to the grim ongoings which have been normalized in our daily lives.
